Let your bidding speak loudly in pursuit of this 1969-1972 Tris Speaker post career professional model bat. This vintage bat replicates the first Louisville Slugger model used by Speaker during his Hall of Fame career as one of baseball’s elite hitters. The accompanying LOA cites this stick as being un-cracked, with no evidence of use. However, there are a few light surface abrasions near the end of the barrel, and a small blue streak above the center factory brand. Otherwise, this bat presents handsomely. The characteristics are noted as being consistent with dead ball era types, described as “Thick handles and slender barrels were preferred by players pre-1920". A big and bold Speaker facsimile signature is burned into the barrel, and the knob is impressed with the model number “S54”.
Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
