Lot # 889: Ozzie Smith Signed Official Gold Glove Baseball with (13) Signatures & Year Inscriptions

In honor of earning 13 consecutive Gold Glove awards from 1980-1992, Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith has signed the offered Rawlings Official Gold Glove baseball (13) times. Known as “The Wizard of Oz” for his spectacular defensive play, capable batting, and acrobatic backflips, Smith has included a different date inscription with each of his signatures, with one example for each year of his remarkable Gold Glove streak. Accented with gold stitching, this baseball is bright and clean and Smith’s thirteen signatures are all distinct applications.
