Superman got his start fighting for “Truth, Justice and the American Way” in the Spring of 1938, in Action Comics #1. This publishing event kicked off the Golden Age of comic books, and other Superman titles soon followed, along with a host of imitators. Superman #1 hit the newsstand racks in 1939, and this New Zealand Mint creation faithfully replicates this major key issue’s cover, with a vibrantly colored, engraved design. CGC has encapsulated this precious metal plate with a perfect grade of 10. CGC’s label notes the silver content as “35g .999 Fine Silver”. Seen on the front of the label is the DC logo, while the New Zealand Mint logo is located on the back of the label. Accompanying is the original New Zealand Mint package, which is also adorned with an image of Superman #1.
