Lot # 792: Circa 1953 Autographs Album with (180+) Signatures Including Rogers Hornsby, Satchel Paige & Jackie Robinson

A tremendous lineup of (180+) Hall of Famer and star signatures is had, with this circa 1953 autograph album. Kudos to the determined fan who assembled this fine collection more than seventy years ago, as there's plenty of big names in the mix. The signatures are of generally better quality, and the album remains intact, which a great look of period authenticity. The great majority of the subjects, if not all, are deceased, and a good number are considered tough acquisitions. Though this collection is comprised with mostly different signatures, some duplication is noted.

Highlights are legendary Hall of Famers: Rogers Hornsby (d.1963), Jackie Robinson (d.1972), Satchel Paige (d.1982), Gil Hodges (d.1972) Nellie Fox (d.1975), Leo Durocher (d.1991), "Bucky" Harris (X2, d.1977), "Duke" Snider, Dick Williams, Phil Rizzuto, Robin Roberts, Al Kaline, Orestes Minoso, Hoyt Wilhelm, Monte Irvin, "Pee Wee" Reese, and Ralph Kiner.
