Lot # 420: Scarce 1963 New York Yankees Tri-Fold #2 Mickey Mantle

1960s Mickey Mantle Rarity! Scarce 1963 New York Yankees Tri-Fold #2 Mickey Mantle. This black-and-white action pose is printed on thin paper stock and measures 8-1/2 x 11" with three factory compacting folds. Beneath the slugger's full-body image are two paragraphs, the first with biographical information and the second notating career accomplishments. On the bottom right of the tri-fold is a union stamp along with text reading "3500-2/63" with the final digits confirming the date of production. Interestingly, through considerable research, we have been unable to locate the offered pose. While mounting tape/residue is found on each corner along with two strips of clear tape on the right compacting folds including scattered creasing/staining throughout, the overall presentation of this #7 rarity is undeniable. The blank reverse is sparkling clean. A possibly unique artifact of the New York Yankees Hall of Fame legend.
