Lot # 654: 1995 R&N China Signature Series Mickey Mantle Signed Limited-Edition Porcelain Rookie Cards Set (2) in Deluxe Case

Housed in a deluxe wood presentation case, this stunning porcelain set is from a limited-edition of "536", matching Mantle's career home run total. These porcelain ceramic cards recreate Mantle's 1951 Bowman rookie card, and his 1952 Topps rookie card. Mantle has signed both like-new cards as boldly as possible, and the results are very pleasing. Joined with the (2) signed cards, is a COA card, also fashioned in porcelain, with an obverse photograph of Mantle taken while he was signing the 536 total sets in this edition. The date of this signing event is stated as "May 5-7, 1995", which was just three month's prior to the beloved Hall of Fame slugger's demise.
