Follow the daring exploits of history’s most notorious seafarers, with this selection of (41) 1936 R109 Gum Inc. Pirate's Picture Bubble Gum cards. A collector favorite released ninety years ago, this colorful series relates tales of real-life pirates, through classic artwork and riveting narratives. The most prominent sea raiders detailed in these accounts are Edward "Blackbeard" Teach, Captain Kidd, Bartholemew "Black Bart" Roberts, and Charles Vane.

This selection is comprised with a partial set (39/72) ranging 51% VG-EX to EX+, 49% GD to VG, with card numbers: 1 (adhesive on obverse), 20, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 36, 37, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 47, 48, 49, 51, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 60, 61,62, 63, 65, 67, 69, 70, 71, 72; and (2) duplicate cards, with numbers: 28 GD+, 29 PR.

While single cards from this pre-war series can readily be found, groups this large are seldom offered. In this satisfying case the partial set is more than 50% complete, and 50% of the cards are solid mid-grade examples, a big plus given the considerable age of this collector favorite series.
