These antique tobacco cards are oversized, measuring 8" x 5", and as such they are condition sensitive. Finding these premiums in considerable quantity is a welcome opportunity for dedicated collectors, and this group boasts a fair number of bright, crisp examples. A variety of athletic events are represented by the obverse illustrations, including Harvard football, from a time when the Ivy League university was a national powerhouse. Printed on the reverse is a checklist for the series, along with a redemption offer to obtain any one of the twenty-five cards, in exchange for fifteen Murad Cigarettes coupons, with an expiration date of 6/30/1911. Burning through 375 packs of Murad Cigarettes would have entitled you to a complete set of these T6 premiums, and you would have had to purchase 585 packs to earn the number of cards in this offering. Thankfully, all you have to do to claim these (39) cards, is plunk down the winning bid. Condition ranges (41% GD to VG, 59% PR to FR).
