Graded FAIR 1.5 by PSA. Baseball’s all-time leading hitter looks rather distinguished on the offered 116-year-old artifact. Issued as part of the 1909-1913 M101-2 Sporting News Supplements series, this dashing image captured the usually fierce Ty Cobb in a serene pose. Gazing toward the field, “The Georgia Peach” appears relaxed and confident, perhaps contemplating the annihilation of his opponent's fastball. Despite moderate perimeter wear and bowing to the paper-thin stock, this dated August 12, 1909 rendering of the Detroit Tigers Hall of Famer presents as a higher grade example. Only 25 total copies have been validated by the third-party grading service in any condition!
