Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA with an (oc) qualifier. The 1939 World Series campaign was literally a banner one for Joe DiMaggio. Not only did he lead the American League in batting average (.381) and took home his first Most Valuable Player award, but he also appeared on the offered #26 Play Ball example. With exception to factory errant centering common to the issue, this crisp portrait of the New York Yankees Hall of Fame legend looks the part of its overall grade by exhibiting well-formed corners, crisp edges and fresh surface accents. The reverse is wax stain-free and the overall presentation of this "Yankee Clipper" is quite pleasing.
