Description

Oscar “Ringo” Bonavena had a record of 58 wins and 9 losses in his heavyweight professional career. Nicknamed “Ringo” because of his Beatles haircut, the Argentinian is remembered for giving strong showings against Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali. On May 22, 1976, Bonavena was shot dead at the age of 33 by security guard at the Mustang Ranch brothel near Reno, Nevada, after having become involved in a conflict with its owner, Joe Conforte. Needless to say, that makes his signature extremely rare.

Each of these three signed index cards (EX) feature different variations of his name. Signatures average (“8 to 9”).

1)    Ballpoint “Oscar Bonavena” with a notation “Oscar Bonavena Boxing.”

2)    Ballpoint “Ringo” with a notation “Oscar ‘Ringo’ Bonavena.”

3)    Blue marker “Bonavena Argentina” with a notation “Oscar Bonavena Boxing.”
