Description

Add some serious muscle to your collection, with this George Trafton signed check. A hard-nosed two-way star at the center and linebacker positions, Trafton (d.1971) was in the thick of things when the NFL was established more than a century ago. Trafton was there when the Chicago Bears were known as the Decatur Staleys in 1920, and he stayed with the franchise through the 1932 season, by which point the team had become the Bears. During his twelve 12 seasons with Da' Bears/Staleys, he won NFL championships in 1921 and 1932, and he was later named to the NFL 1920s All-Decade Team. Trafton has applied a large and in charge signature on this personal check, which is dated 9/28/57.
