Description

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man dabbles on the dark side, in this CGC graded pair of popular Amazing Spider-Man black suit issues. In 1984, Spidey donned the alien symbiote costume he acquired in Marvel Super-Hero Secret Wars #8 in three concurrent issues from different titles, which are Amazing Spider-Man #252, Spectacular Spider-Man #90, and Marvel Team-Up #141. These issues are tied for the first appearance of the living costume and all are greatly prized by Spider-Fans. Spider-Man eventually figured out the intentions of the suit were somewhat less than friendly, and he breaks their bond. In Amazing Spider-Man #300, our favorite wall-crawler comes face to face with Venom, who makes his first appearance in this classic key issue. In ASM #300, Spider-Man gets rid of the black costume that was made for him out of cloth by the Black Cat, at the behest of his love, Mary Jane.
