Description

The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their 100th Anniversary in 1990, and Roy Campanella got in on the fun by signing this commemorative bat. Turned out by Rawlings, this like-new bat is a limited-edition 1990 Dodgers Centennial model, numbered "449/500" on the barrel. Playing his entire MLB career for the Dodgers when they were located in Brooklyn, Campanella was at the center of things in 1955 as the NL MVP, when the Dodgers won the only World Series of their tenure in the New York borough. Listed between Dodgers and MLB logos on the barrel, are the dates of all six Brooklyn/Los Angeles World Series championships won prior to 1990. Campanella has signed above the celebratory barrel labeling with ("8.5") potency, by means of a blue felt-tip pen.
