Lot # 192: 1934 Quaker Oats Premium Babe Ruth

As he did so often during his remarkable career, "Babe" Ruth gazes skyward in this 1934 Quaker Oats premium, as he follows the trajectory of a rocket he just launched into the bleachers. A facsimile of Ruth's signature is printed at bottom-right, and the Quaker Oats credit is located on the bottom border of this 8" x 10" photograph. Considerable wear is evident, including small tears on the right edge, however the image area of Ruth in follow through has avoided most of the attrition.
