Lot # 951: 1939 Postal Stamped First Day Covers Collection (21) With (8) Signed Including Joe DiMaggio & Ted Williams

Each one of these (21) First Day Covers is postmarked “Cooperstown, NY - June 12 - 9 AM – 1939” and the envelopes encompass a wide variety of styles. They all have United States 3-cent postage stamps with an old-time baseball scene. Hall of Famers have signed (8) of the envelopes, (10) signatures in all, averaging (“7 to 9”).

They include: Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Cool Papa Bell/Buck Leonard/Chas. Gehringer, Nolan Ryan, Wm H/Bill Dickey, Johnny Mize (2), Chas. Gehringer.
