Liberator Simon Bolivar is honored on the obverse of this 1920 Colombia 5 Pesos gold coin. A few decades after U.S. independence was achieved, Bolivar led successful revolts against Spain in what are now the South American nations of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia, with the latter country named after him. Fronted by this driven statesman, this antique coin reports in appealing AU condition with nice luster. Stated on the reverse are the coin’s weight of 7.988 grams, and its gold purity content of 0.916-2/3 percent, along with an "A" mint mark. The actual gold content is .2355 of an ounce. Conquer your gold craving with the acquisition of this nicely preserved coin.
