As a “preview” to being home to the most dominant teams in both Major League Baseball and the NFL, Baltimore’s Memorial Stadium was the gracious host for the 1958 Mid-Summer Classic. On hand for that July 8 gala, Vice President Richard Nixon threw out the ceremonial first pitch and these (10) souvenirs were issued. Includes: (4) Programs: 36-page guides present beautifully with covers/pages intact; (2) Ticket Stubs: (EX) and (VG); (4) Miscellaneous: (2) pinbacks and (2) decals. More on our website.

(4) Programs: all (4) have covers and 36 crisp pages intact. These present (EX-MT) and (EX), with unmarked scoring grids on (3). Advertisements for local establishments and traditions include a full-page (inside cover) ad hawking National Bohemian Beer, which is still the beer of choice at Camden Yards and still showcases the one-eyed “Mr. Boh.”

(2) Ticket Stubs: both “Lower Reserved” vouchers; each has a black-and-white photo of the Memorial Stadium façade/dedication and printed seating/event details. One presents minimally (EX) with sharp edges/corners and very minor reverse paper loss (likely incurred upon admission); while the other presents (VG) with vertical creases at the center and penciled notations on the reverse.

(2) Pinbacks:
* 1-3/4”-diameter celluloid pin with “1958 MEMORIAL STADIUM – BALTIMORE – ALL STAR GAME” flanked by “AMERICAN” and “NATIONAL” along the perimeter. Original pinback in intact and the reverse shows minor rust.
* 1-1/4”-diameter black celluloid pin with “Baltimore Welcomes All Star Game 1958” in orange lettering. Original pinback intact.

(2) Decals: identical Orioles logo flat surface decals (3-1/16 x 3-7/8”) with the Bird logo created by Baltimore Sun cartoonist Jim Hartzell. Both (NM), unused with instructions on reverse.
