Having already won gold medals in Olympic track and field events, multi-sport athlete Babe Didrikson Zaharias turned to golf in 1935. She quickly dominated the ladies' side of the sport, and even challenged the men, making the cut in a couple of PGA Tour events. Here we have an autographed ticket from an exhibition match, with the elite female athlete competing with male golfers. Billed as an "Exhibition Golf Match" at the Tuscaloosa Country Club, this ticket names Didrikson Zaharias (d.1956) as the partner of the course's pro Herchel Spears, versus Harold Williams and Bill Burton. The blank back of this scarce ticket is signed as "Babe D. Zaharias". PSA/DNA has assigned this Didrikson Zaharias autograph a grade of (NM-MT 8).
