Score a history-making publication with the winning of this 1958 Warren Famous Monsters of Filmland #1 debut issue. CGC has seen fit to rate this important key (6.0, Off-White to White Pages). Given this classic magazine's considerable age, this grade is very satisfying. The brainchild of publisher James Warren and editor Forrest J. Ackerman, this seminal title opened the floodgates to a proliferation of 1950s-1960s monster magazines. While many were hits, none equaled FMOF in the hearts of readers, and in today's world, FMOF issues are gold to collectors. This is largely due to the work of dear old "Uncle Forry," who was the greatest champion of Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror realm, and a friend to the magazines many readers. CGC's label notes are "Forrest J. Ackerman text, Will Elder art, 1st Warren monster magazine, Jim Warren & Marion Moore photo cover"
