It was a short, but much celebrated union between Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio. Get a glimpse of one of the happier times for this mega-famous 1950s power couple, with this 1954 original Type 1 photograph. Credited to photographer Chester Gan, who also has a long list of film acting credits on his resume, this vivid 8x10 black and white photo captured the happy couple having dinner with friends at a San Francisco restaurant. Among the other diners is a man in military uniform who is identified on the reverse by the handwritten notation, "Lt. Thomas Lee". The decorated Lee is seen holding a Ken's menu in his right hand. Flashing big smiles, "Joltin' Joe" is nattily attired in a suit and tie, while his bride Marilyn is wearing a buttoned-up outfit. Cited as coming from the Joe DiMaggio collection, this candid photo is encapsulated by PSA, with the designation (Type I Authentic c.1954). Also noted on the PSA label is "Original Photograph M. Monroe & J. DiMaggio Chester Gan Studios DiMaggio Coll.". Accompanying is a full LOA from Henry Yee and Marshall Fogel-PSA/DNA.

Opening Bid $200.
