One of baseball's most reliable and durable hitters, Carl Yastrzemski was in the twilight of his Hall of Fame career when he employed this Louisville Slugger model C271 bat. Dating from the labeling period of 1981-1983, this hickory finish ash bat shows evidence of corking on the top of the barrel, confirmed by an x-ray. Free of cracks, this weathered war club, shows excellent use. The barrel is covered in contact marks, cleat impressions, and finish wear. Written on the knob, are Yastrzemski's uniform number "8", and the word "Game". The accompanying LOA from John Taube-PSA/DNA, assigns a game use grade of (GU 9).
