Score a scarce WWII era baseball publication, with this Bob Feller All-Stars vs. Robinson’s All-Stars Official Score Card. The war was over and baseball enjoyed a season with all of its players back in the fold, in 1946. When the season was over, Cleveland Indians ace Bob Feller rounded-up stars from the MLB ranks, to embark on a famous barnstorming tour, facing a team of Negro League stars led by Satchel Paige and Jackie Robinson. Paige fronted this squad across most of America, while Robinson got top billing for the California leg of the month-long tour. The tour proved very successful, drawing big crowds to witness games that saw the Negro League stars get a chance to take on MLB stars, while baseball was still a year away from ending segregation in the sport.

Issued for a game at Lane Field in San Diego, the offered Official Score Card is hand-dated “October 24, 1946” in pencil, on the front cover. Printed at bottom of the front cover, is the legend “Bob Feller All-Stars vs. Robinson’s All-Stars”. One of the scoring grid pages is printed with “Satchel Paige’s All-Stars” only, while the other scoring page is printed with the full Feller roster, including Rizzuto, Vernon, Keller, Musial, Feller, Sain, Lemon, and others. The scoring grids are unused, and the 12-page score card reports in (VG+) condition. Several interesting ads are noted throughout, including the Pacific Coast Hockey League, State Senator Fred H. Kraft, Archie Moore’s Chicken Shack, and a full-page back cover ad for The Cobra Cafe, featuring an illustration of a nude female snake charmer.

Opening Bid $200.
