A superb autograph collection has yielded many pleasing Hall of Famer signatures for our current auction, including this Roy Campanella boldly signed government postcard. After spending the first half of his career in the Negro, Mexican, and Venezuelan Leagues, Campanella gave the Brooklyn Dodgers ten seasons of outstanding play. It was while he was developing into the National League’s premier catcher of the 1950s, that “Campy” authored this distinct (“9.5”) strength autograph. Accompanied by the salutation “Best Wishes”, Campanella’s black ink, steel-tip fountain pen signature is nicely positioned for display purposes, on the otherwise plain back of this vintage GPC.
