Equipment specialists set your sights on this circa-1910s catcher's mask. A birdcage style mask, this ancient piece displays great period authentic appeal with fairly supple pads and a moderately oxidized frame. One pad is partially torn, the chin strap is intact, and the head strap is properly connected on the left, however, the leather fastening strap on the right is broken. Both of the strap's buckles are intact, and securely latched, and the frame is sturdy. Having attained genuine antique status, this catcher's mask is a very pleasing example, given its considerable age.
