N. C. Wyeth was one of America’s most well-known realist painters and illustrators. He illustrated 112 books over his prolific career. He was the father of Andrew Wyeth, and the grandfather of Jamie Wyeth, both renowned painters in their own right. Each book has full color glossy plates by Wyeth, and the covers all have pastedowns by the artist. Includes:

 

“Robin Hood” by Paul Creswick (1917 David McRay Publisher) with (8) inside plates. The cover and binding are frayed around the edges, with clean interior pages. Good condition.

 

“Deerslayer” by James Fenimore Cooper (1929 Charles Scribner’s Sons) with (9) inside plates. The cover has a tight spine and mild wear. Excellent condition.

 

“Kidnapped” by Robert Louis Stevenson (1936 Charles Scribner’s Sons) with (9) inside plates. The book has with a tight spine and clean pages. Excellent condition.

 

“David Balfour” by Robert Louis Stevenson (sequel to Kidnapped, 1924 Charles Scribner’s Sons) with (9) inside plates. The book has a with a tight spine and mild cover wear. Excellent condition. Opening Bid $25.
