Learn a lesson in futility with this 1960 Chicago Cubs team-signed baseball. This Cubbies squad fielded eight catchers, 12 infielders, 10 outfielders, 17 pitchers, and two managers throughout the season. This recipe for disaster saw the '60 Cubs finish with a 60-94 record, and only an equally dreadful Philadelphia Phillies team kept them out of last place, by a single game. Still, there were a couple of bright spots, with Hall of Famers Ernie Banks, and Rich Ashburn playing every day. Four other players appeared in more than 100 games during this ill-fated season, however generally speaking, inconsistency was the hallmark of this seventh-place team.

The bright spots are present and accounted for, with the offered period-signed ONL/Giles baseball, which hosts a total of (25) autographs, including several other prominent players in Don Zimmer, Frank Thomas and Hall of Famer Lou Boudreau, who started the season in the broadcasting booth, and switched jobs with manager Charlie Grimm, 18 games into the season.
