While voyages to the far reaches of space are still in the future, this comic from the distant past took readers there long ago. Published 65 years ago, just as the Space Race was heating up, this 11/59 DC Tales of the Unexpected #43 issue was the first of this title to feature Space Ranger on the cover. Introduced a year earlier in DC's Showcase anthology title, Space Ranger enjoyed a lengthy run in Tales of the Unexpected, and this issue #43 is one of the keys. Noted as having a grey tone cover, this comic has earned a respectable (5.0, Off-White Pages) grade from CGC. Creators are Arnold Drake story, Bob Brown cover, Jim Mooney, Nick Cardy and, Howard Purcell art.
