A solid baseball city, Baltimore has hosted teams that completed in the American Association, National League, American League, Federal League, Negro League, an array of Minor Leagues, and beyond. From the obscurity of the beyond zone comes this 1904 Baltimore Police Baseball Club ribbon. Sized at 2-1/2 x 7-1/2", this ancient relic is actually two ribbons, with a smaller black and gold ribbon representing the City of Baltimore, sewn over a larger red, white and blue ribbon representing the USA. The edges are trimmed in deckle edge style, and metal fringe hangs securely from the bottom. Bold silver lettering reads "Baltimore Police Baseball Club" over the exposed lower half of the red white and blue ribbon, followed by an acanthus leaf scroll, and the date "1904," also in silver. Colors from both ribbons have moderately bled onto each other, otherwise this scarce survivor remains very attractive with minor wear.

Opening Bid $100.
