For 19 mostly glorious seasons, Cincinnati Reds shortstop Dave Concepcion was overshadowed by a lineup of colossal sluggers. Still, the rock-solid infielder excelled at his part, averaging 60 runs, 35 extra base hits, 60 RBI, and 20 stolen bases per 162 games played, to go along with his fine defense. We’d take those numbers from our shortstop in a heartbeat. Here’s your chance to collect this 9X All-Star, and 5X Gold Glove winner, with this 1987-1988 Concepcion game-used bat. At some point during his final two seasons with the Reds, Concepcion went into battle with this Louisville Slugger model C311 bat as his weapon of choice. A facsimile of Concepcion’s autograph and the model number are burned into the barrel of this genuine signature model bat, and his uniform number “26” is written on both the barrel end, and the knob. Heavy use includes a handle crack, multiple contact marks and bat rack streaks on the barrel, and tape on the handle, leading to PSA/DNA furnished grade of (GU 7). Full LOA from John Taube-PSA/DNA. Opening Bid $150.
