After getting stung by the “Amazin’ Mets” in the 1969 World Series, the Baltimore Orioles were not going to let that happen again the following year. On the strength of great pitching, solid defense, and timely 3-run homers, the O’s returned to the Fall Classic in 1970, where they disassembled the mighty “Big Red Machine” of Cincinnati. From the Orioles' triumphant 1970 season comes this Elrod Hendricks pro model game-ready bat. Turned by Adirondack, this bat is appropriately labeled for Hendricks, with his name in block letters on the barrel and the model “233X” stamped into the knob. Written on the barrel is the notation “1970 World Series Cincinnati OH 10-11-70,” indicating this bat was on hand when the Orioles beat the Reds by a score of 6-5 in Game 2, with Hendricks delivering the game-winning two-run double in the top of the 5th inning.
