Not only did legendary Oakland A's owner Charles O. Finley hire Joe DiMaggio in 1967 as his vice president and team coach, he sold him insurance from the Charles O. Finley Company Inc. This original policy with mailing envelope was sent to Joe DiMaggio at his San Francisco home for his approval in 1969. The note at the top of the 10-page policy (EX-NM), in Mr. Finley's handwriting says, “Doctor DiMaggio - After reading this brochure, I hope you will decide to continue your insurance with us.”  It's signed, “Charlie” ("8”).
