“Joltin’ Joe” DiMaggio habitually made hard contact with the bat, during his illustrious career with the New York Yankees. As an esteemed baseball elder statesman, he made pretty decent contact with the pen as well, as evidenced by his (“8”) strength autograph, on the front cover of the offered 1987 Upper Montclair Country Club "Swing for Culture" Celebrity Amateur Golf Tournament program. This vintage awards dinner program reports in (VG) condition, and lists a number of participating pro athletes, including DiMaggio’s teammates Joe Collins, Ed Lopat, and Gil McDougald.
