A 9X Pro Bowler, Thomas was a standout defender, and sack artist through 11 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. As a result of a car accident that occurred in a snow storm, Thomas died in the year 2000, at the youthful age of 33. In recognition of his tremendous NFL play, he was posthumously elected to the Hall of Fame in 2009.
