Treat yourself like a boss, by bringing home this Oakland Athletics team-signed 1989 World Series "Battle of the Bay" Commissioner’s Box chair. The 1989 World Series is memorable for the thrilling play of Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson, the shut down pitching of “Smoke” Stewart, and the harrowing interruption of the Loma Prieta earthquake, which postponed the Series for nearly two full weeks.

The accompanying Team LOA from the Athletics states this multi-signed chair was stationed in the “Commissioners on-field box during the 1989 World Series”, and it also lists the names of the (31) signers, who have provided autographs ranging 8 to 10 in potency.

The complete list of the 1989 World Series champions A’s who have contributed autographs is: manager: Tony LaRussa (HOF); coaches: Art Kuysner, Dave Duncan, Rene Lachemann, Dave McKay, Merv Rettenmund, Tommie Reynolds; players: Lance Blankenship, Todd Burns, Jose Canseco, Dennis Eckersley (HOF), Mike Gallego, Ron Hassey, Dave Henderson, Rickey Henderson (HOF), Rick Honeycutt, Doug Jennings, Felix Jose, Carney Lansford, Mark McGwire, Mike Moore, Gene Nelson, Jamie Quirk, Terry Steinbach, Dave Stewart, Walt Weiss, Bob Welch, Curt Young; trainers/equipment manager: Larry Davis, Barry Weinberg, and Frank Ciensczyk.

Adorned with the 1989 World Series logo on the seat back, this padded metal folding chair reports in outstanding condition, with just minor touches of wear. With all the 1989 A’s key members present and accounted for, including “Bash Brothers” McGwire and Canseco, this outstanding team-signed World Series stadium seat stands as a great prize.

Oakland Athletics team LOA; and Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $200.
