On 10/8/39, the second longest streak of consecutive World Series championships was nailed down, when Joe DiMaggio plated two of his Yankees teammates with a single in the 10th inning of Game 4 at Crosley Field. This win clinched a fourth straight Yankees World Series victory over the period 1936-1939, topped only by, yes you guessed it, the New York Yankees, who also won five consecutive championships from 1949-1953. Collect a bit of this historic action, by claiming this 1939 World Series program and ticket stub pairing, featuring the New York Yankees vs. Cincinnati Reds.

It's obvious that the ticket stub was once taped to the front of the program, as 1/4" wide stretches of front cover surface paper loss frame the stub perfectly, corresponding with pieces of tape on the perimeter of the stub, which also suffers surface paper loss along the right edge. Despite these conditions, the program and stub still present handsomely, with vibrant colors and distinct graphics, and both would have graded VG, were in not for the surface paper loss. The program is scored for the Yankees 1939 WS Game 4 "clincher", with DiMaggio's dramatic 10th inning game-winning hit, and 7th inning home runs by Charlie "King Kong" Keller, and Bill Dickey.
