Seldom have we ever seen an autographed book quite like this! The big question is whether the winning bidder will decide to preserve it intact, or else cut it up to maximize the per-autograph profit potential. There is certainly considerable breakdown value here—especially since that latter approach would render moot the book's rough exterior condition. The first-edition 1946 copy of The Detroit Tigers by Fred Lieb has FR covers that have borne the brunt of wear with peeling, heavy shelf rubbing and a split spine. Fortunately, aside from the separated, more weathered flyleaf, all interior pages have been well protected and generally average EX condition. Signature strength is mainly "7-9".
