Dedicated Hall of Fame autograph seekers add a trophy signature to your collection, with this "Kid" Nichols signed souvenir card, which is dated 8/16/49. Issued in his hometown by the Co-Operative Club of Kansas City, this 4x6 card commemorates Nichols 1949 Hall of Fame induction, which was a great source of pride for the "dead ball" era mound master, who racked up 362 career wins from 1890-1906. A vertical fold crease at right just barely makes contact with the final pen stroke of Nichols ("8") strength signature, which is applied as "Charles Kid Nichols". Given his long ago departure in 1953, Nichols autograph ranks as a true hobby heavyweight target, and this signed "Souvenir of Kid Nichols Day" card is worthy of serious consideration.
