Segregation and limitations couldn’t keep Dodger greats Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, and Don Newcombe from a combined five MVP honors and perennial National League titles. Showing solidarity and compliance, the three have autographed this ONL Frick orb. The medium-toned sphere showcases stampings that date to 1949-1951. While those identifiers have faded, each penning has retained its potency thanks to a long-since individually applied coat of period shellac. The coveted signatures reside on separate panels with Robinson projecting (“7”) quality (with shellac absent from the majority of his surname); a pre-accident Campanella showing (“8”) strength; and Newcombe resonating (“7-8”) strength.
