With documented affinities for tackling, pro wrestling and hotel maids, Gene “Big Daddy” Lipscomb enjoyed a raucous lifestyle that both defined and destroyed the hulking defender. This football shoe was worn by Lipscomb during his glorious tenure (1956-1960) with the Baltimore Colts. The black leather size “13” accessory has white side panels and seven thick plastic cleats affixed to the bottom. Within the sole is a vintage handwritten notation of “76.” Outstanding game use is evident with creases and dirt throughout. Impeccable provenance accompanies in the form of a photo LOA from Hall of Fame teammate Lenny Moore.
