As the north wind blew through the open end of the horseshoe-shaped Memorial Stadium, this sidelines jacket helped a Baltimore Colts player brave the elements during the franchise’s memorable tenure on 33rd Street. The blue nylon full-length button-down garment features a quilted lining and “COLTS” arched atop the back in white twill. A zippered hood features a drawstring and the collar’s interior is home to a “Sand-Knit” size “LARGE” label with (2) handwritten notations of “7.” Solid wear is evident. More on our website.

Note: while the Sand-Knit tagging style dates to the late-1960s – 1972, the number “7” was not worn by a Colts player until 1973 (Bert Jones). Regardless of the possible date/number contradiction, this is a professional model garment and it shows definitive game wear with perspiration-induced soiling about the collar's interior and puckering about the twill components..

NOTE:
Huggins and Scott is allowing the winning bidder 45 days from the date when payment is received to have the item independently authenticated. Payment must, however, be made within two weeks from the end of the auction.
