As his annual stipend climbed to $14,410,581.00 for the 2008-09 NBA campaign, LeBron James neared the end of his seven-year contract with Nike, an endorsement deal that netted the Ohio native an additional $90 million. Honoring both lucrative agreements, James wore and autographed these Nike Zoom “LeBron Soldier II” shoes during the 2008-09 campaign. The white leather footwear items feature maroon, red, blue and gold accents with “L23” embossed on the outer sides, “2” displayed on the left instep and “3” on the right instep. On each heel, a crowned lion symbolizes James’ regal status. On the outer portion of the right shoe, James has signed in black marker (“9” strength) and inscribed “#23.” On the outer portion of the left shoe, James has signed “King James” (black marker, “9” strength). Full JSA. More on our website.

The interior tagging (of each shoe) indicates size “16” and has the proper identifier reading “Promo Sample 20080125,” appropriate for Nike Lebron game used shoes of this era. The items were obtained from a Washington Wizards game day employee and show single event use with minor wear about the rubberized soles.
