Oh, if these chairs could talk! Spared from since-razed baseball palaces, these stadium relics provided vantage points from which countless spectators witnessed heroics of American League legends. With wooden backrest panels and chairs secured within iron framework with armrests and legs, the items hail from: Comiskey Park: 19-1/8” wide, 32” tall; green with “15” engraved in top backrest panel; Griffith Stadium: 21” wide, 32-1/2” tall; red; Cleveland Municipal Stadium: 23” wide, 31-1/2” tall. Yellow with “13” stenciled on top backrest panel.
Comiskey Park: incredible use is evident with chipping about the vintage green paint coat, as well as rust about the metallic components.
Griffith Stadium: appropriate stadium use is evident with a coat of red paint covering what appears to have been a tan coat. There are scattered chips and minimal rust about the metallic components. Note: the Griffith Stadium chair has been mounted to (2) metallic slabs to facilitate display.
Cleveland Municipal Stadium: heavy use shows with the current coat of yellow paint covering a former coat of green and possibly an addition coat of blue. There is chipping throughout and rust about the metallic components.
