With baseball’s popularity and the unwritten rule that players be clean-shaven, promoting Gillette’s “Tech Razor” was all but mandatory for diamond icons in 1940. This retail prize somehow makes baseball, shaving and the World Series a natural fit! The 3-3/4 x 2-1/4” cardboard container includes an unused shaving accessory (with blade included). The sleeve features images of stars Pepper Martin, Benny McCoy, Johnny Mize, Red Rolfe and Bucky Walters, with ringing endorsement quotations from the latter two. A rare survivor!

The cardboard sleeve is minimally affected by minor edge/corner wear and insignificant peripheral creases.
