Prospering with no fewer than five players among the top nine in the MVP balloting, the 1937 New York Yankees won their second of an unprecedented four straight World Series titles, making short work of the cross-town rival Giants. Secured as a souvenir during that Big Apple Fall Classic, this baseball is autographed by (9). The unofficial “Spalding” orb exhibits age-induced toning and showcases black-ink fountain pen scriptings whose strengths vary, with surface abrasions minimally affecting a few. Includes: Sweet Spot: Joe McCarthy (“8-9” strength) and Dick Bartell (“5”); North Panel: Gus Mancuso (“5”) and Tony Lazzeri (d.1946, “5-6”); South Panel: Jo-Jo Moore (“5-6”), Carl Hubbell (“5”) and Al Schacht (“8”); West Panel: Lou Gehrig (“3”); East Panel: Joe DiMaggio (“4”). Full photo LOA from PSA/DNA.

Note: there is a small hole drilled on the trademark stampings (away from the signatures). This was, with high probability, placed to facilitate previous display. Additionally, while the PSA/DNA LOA states that there are (10) signatures, we were able to locate only (9).
