Wakanda is forever, but it had to start somewhere. That somewhere is found here with this 7/66 Marvel Fantastic Four issue #52. One of the great Silver Age keys, this issue features the first appearance and first cover depiction of the Black Panther, King of Wakanda. Celebrated as the first Marvel Silver Age super-hero title, the Fantastic Four title is a fertile breeding ground for both heroes and villains. During the '60s this seminal comic book series introduced Dr. Doom, Medusa and the Frightful Four, Black Bolt and the Inhumans, the Watcher, Silver Surfer, Galactus, Black Panther, Him/Warlock, Ronan the Accuser, and of course the title team members, Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Girl, the Human Torch, and the Thing. Truly an historic character, the Black Panther is recognized as Marvel's first black super-hero. CGC has just returned this ground-breaking FF #52 comic with a favorable grade of (6.5, Cream to Off-White Pages). Label notes are "Stan Lee story, Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott cover and art. 1st appearance of the Black Panther (T'Challa). Inhumans appearance." Opening Bid $300.
