You can look high and low, far and wide, and you may never see another example of this rare baseball type. Served up is a Dizzy Dean signature model Major League Regulation baseball with the original box. Dating from circa the 1930s, this rare ball is stamped on the sweet spot with a Dean facsimile autograph, and the words "Major League". The north panel bears a store model stamp that reads "Leacock Sporting Goods, St. Louis, MO.," from the city where Dean enjoyed his best years as a Hall of Fame pitcher. The south panel is stamped with "5DD, Cork Center, Regulation Size & Weight, Horsehide Cover". Sewn tight with red and blue stitching, this antique baseball shows considerable toning, and scattered small oxidation stains. The labeling stamps are fully discernible, and fairly distinct, and the ball shows great period authenticity. One of the best features is the photo of Dean delivering a pitch on the accompanying box. A small amount of the bottom edge of this photo panel is torn away, taking with most of the Dizzy section of a Dean facsimile autograph printed at bottom=right. There's an illustration of the ball on the panel opposite of the photo panel. The bottom panel is absent, while a large flap remains in place there. The rest of the panels are intact, and each features a Dean facsimile autograph, above various legends which are "Booklet How to Pitch Inside This Box", "Major League", and "Regulation". Display appeal is abundant, especially the photo of Dean.

Opening Bid $200.
