Baseball’s all-time winningest pitcher is up for grabs with this Cy Young signed travel postcard. Depicting the Niangua Bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks, this Curteich made postcard is postmarked dated 3/6/50, by the Dennison, Ohio post office. In retirement Young lived out his years in his native Tuscarawas County, in east-central Ohio. As one of baseball’s most revered elder statesmen, Young was well-known for fulfilling autograph requests and he did an admirable job with this one, providing a (“9”) strength example for a Birmingham, Michigan fan. A blue ink stain at the top-right corner on the postcard’s back is located well away from Young’s blue ink, steel-tip fountain pen autograph, which is well-suited for framed display. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $400.
