Autograph aficionados take up the challenge for a tremendous collecting triumph, with the Willard Brown single-signed OAL/Brown baseball. Several factors combine to make this Hall of Famer autograph an extremely scarce example.

While Brown absolutely crushed it at the plate, he did so in the relative obscurity of the Negro Leagues, from 1937-1951. His time playing at baseball's highest level, was a little more than one month of Major League ball, as a members of the St. Louis Browns in 1947. Requests for his autograph while he was active, were far fewer than MLB stars. By the time this OAL/Brown model ball was made sometime between 1984-1994, Brown was living quietly in Texas, suffering from Alzheimer's disease during his final years, until his death in 1996.

His election to the Hall of Fame in 2006, made the surviving examples of his autograph a hot target, with those made available eagerly gobbled up. End your years of searching for a satisfying example, with this ("7") strength Brown signature, located on a side panel of the offered ball, which presents as (EX-MT) with sporadic toning. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

Opening Bid $1,500.
