Launched in 1934 by Eastern Color Printing, Famous Funnies is considered the first true American comic book title. Famously known as "The Godfather of Fantasy," Frank Frazetta is the grand master of Sci-Fi/Fantasy art, and his works have been highly prized for many decades. A meeting of Famous Funnies, and Frazetta's art occurred in the 1950s, when Frazetta did the work for several of the venerable comic title's covers. These classic covers centered on "Buck Rogers," a fictional space adventurer who helped popularize the notion of space explanation. Get your eager hands on a historically significant comic, with this CGC graded 1954 ECP Famous Funnies #212 pre-code issue with cover art by Frazetta. The subtitle is "Featuring Buck Rogers," and the space hero is depicted flying through space with a jet-pack on his back, as he speeds to save a blond bombshell of a damsel in distress, while monstrous aliens attack from their flying saucer. This cover is the epitome of Sci-Fi cool, and a gigantic collecting prize. Leading certification service CGC has assigned this comic a grade of (3.0, Off-White Pages) and notes "Frank Frazetta cover" on the header label.
